Chords Everywhere All at Once

Sarah Lyngra

Playing chords all over the piano, maybe (or not) all at once. This is a 5 part video series explaining how to use the Triad and Inversion Key Finder cards. Videos one through three are Root Position, First Inversion, and Second Inversion. The last two show you how to use two or three cards together to create arpeggios.

First inversions made easy.

Second Inversions made easy.

An unexpected bonus. When playing around with the cards during a lesson, a student and I learned that the cards can be grouped together to show arpeggios! How cool is that?!

Video five shows you how to create 2 octave arpeggios using the the cards.

I hope you learned from this short video sequence. In my experience, students play more, with more fluency, and enjoy lessons more since using the cards. I'm pretty sure you'll see similar improvements.
